Our Mission at the Northwood Congregational Church, UCC, is to be followers of Christ Who are committed to building a welcoming and loving community so that we may serve others.

We Believe in the Importance of Worship with a Sunday church service at 9:30 am two to three Sundays of the month. Please review the News and Calendar tabs for more information. We have seasonal services including a Maundy Thursday dinner and Tenebrae Service, an Easter Service, a Christmas Eve Service and many other occasions to worship together. Currently, Rev Holly Tomilson leads the service on the last Sunday of the month as well as Christmas and Easter services.

We Believe in the Call to Outreach to the Local and Global Community with active Missions, including proving space for End 68 Hours of Hunger, the Northwood Emergency Food Pantry, Educational Passages, AA Meetings, and Ready Rides meetings.  We provide opportunities to assist those in need locally, nationally and globally.  Some members of our congregation journeyed to the Domincan Republic to help those in need, while others pack Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets for our neighbors, visit the sick or donate to the local Secret Santa Program.

We Believe in Passing on Faith to all, Especially our Youth and Children,  including children in our services, providing opportunities for them to express their love of Jesus through song and prayer. We join with other local churches to provide Confirmation Classes for our teens.

We Believe in Establishing a Community of Mutual Support, Fellowship and Belonging with our coffee hour after church and lots of fun events during the year like our annual yard sale, Blueberry Pancake breakfasts, serving hot coffee, tea and hot cocoa at the annual finishing derby on Harvey Lake behind the church, Epiphany Arts Displays, Poetry Readings, Christmas by Design Fair, Blessing of the Animals Service and scanning tickets while greeting visitors of the Deerfield Fair.

We Believe in Embracing Open Communication so all can be Informed and Involved with our Facebook page, Instagram Page, YouTube, this blog, newsletters and weekly announcements.
